GREEN BUILDING

Our homes are designed to save energy, with high efficiency heating and cooling equipment, state-of-the-art appliances, high performance insulation, and low-e glass windows.

Energy efficient homes deliver better protection against cold, heat, drafts, moisture, pollution, and noise.

We meet and exceed energy efficiency standards set by the International Residential Codes.

CONSTRUCTION & TECH

We recognize the continuous changing face of home construction and embrace only the most respected and dependable construction techniques in home building. We stay ahead of the competition by staying on the cutting edge of home construction technology.

We achieve higher standards of energy efficiency by utilizing engineering services that include plan analysis, HVAC design, layout and equipment sizing.

We construct each home using principles of air tight construction to reduce air infiltration and energy transfer which contribute the most to high energy bills.

HEATING & COOLING

Right-Sizing a home’s heating/cooling system is important because it contributes to the performance, efficiency, and durability of the equipment. It also ensures consistent temperatures between and across rooms, improving indoor air quality, and providing greater comfort for occupants.

When it comes to a tightly constructed, energy efficient home…bigger equipment is not necessarily better. Oversized HVAC equipment operates less efficiently and can cause humidify problems.

HIGH PERFORMANCE INSULATION

Even though you don’t see it, the insulation in your home is one of the most important factors related to the comfort and maintenance of your home, as well as the monthly heating/cooling bill.

High Performance Cellulose Insulation is an energy saving insulation product, it is a blend of: prepared cellulose fibers, organic in nature, treated with strong adhesive and fire resistant borates…Read More

LOW-E WINDOWS

Every home we build gets high performance Low-E windows. The “E” stands for ’emissivity’ but Low-E really means energy efficient. Low-E windows have a thin metal coating, virtually invisible from the inside, which allows light in but inhibits thermal heat gain.

Low-E windows add energy efficiency in both heating and cooling seasons helping to prevent heat from coming in during the summer and escaping during the winter. The low-E coating also blocks ultraviolet light which fades fabrics and other materials.

During the winter months, between 70 and 75 percent of the heat that would otherwise escape from the house is reflected back in to the home for energy savings. During the cooling season, as much as 25 percent of the unwanted heat that would otherwise enter the home is reflected to the outside.

TANKLESS HOT WATER SYSTEMS

You don’t use hot water 24 hours a day…Why pay to heat water 24 hours a day? A tankless system is a more efficient way to heat water and is a great option for your custom home.Tankless systems heat water quickly and deliver an endless supply of hot water for as long as you need it.

 Tankless Hot Water System:

  1. Up to 30 percent more energy efficient than a traditional water heater.
  2. Shut-off automatically when the water supply is closed.
  3. Compact wall-mounted units.
  4. Have a life expectancy of 20 years.
